Lunch2B n°8: The global attitudes to LGBTQ + rights

Dear everyone,

You are invited to this week’s online Lunch2B, which will take place on Friday, April 23rd, at 12:00 PM, Italian time.

Here is the link for this session, we look forward to see you online: https://univiu-org.zoom.us/j/97147603973?pwd=VnFtdjEzb211ZmkzTTlLSHhIbnJlQT09

In many countries, being lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or intersex (LGBTI) means living with daily discrimination. While the denial of human rights for LGBT persons persists throughout the world today, over 30 countries have decriminalised homosexuality in the past 20 years. While history, culture and religion are contextually important, all States, regardless of their political, economic and cultural systems, according to international law have a duty to promote and protect the human rights of all. How does this approach differ within the international scene?

Let’s chat about all these questions and more!

Your three beloved REDs Francesca, Olivia, and Luka
